This recognition is the highest academic achievement one can achieve at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore that is calculated based on consistency in academic performance over the 2-year course.

The three gold medalists at the IIM Indore are members of Goldman Sachs’ 2019 full-time analyst class: Advika, part of the Global Investment Research Division, Sneha, part of the Finance Division, and Ayushi, part of the Investment Banking Division. They were recognized at a special convocation ceremony.

“Right before joining IIM Indore, I had always dreamt of finishing as a gold medalist. However, it seemed like a very unthinkable dream back then. But on the day of my convocation, when I finally received this award, I was on cloud nine,” Ayushi said. Ayushi is a commerce graduate from Delhi University.

Looking forward to her career at Goldman Sachs, Advika, who is a commerce graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and previously interned at Goldman Sachs in Bengaluru, said: “The firm’s culture of mentorship and collaboration makes it the perfect place to start your career. Of course, it will be a steep learning curve, but getting the resources and encouragement to succeed makes all the difference.”

Advika, Sneha and Ayushi each attended the firm’s Women Emerging in Finance on-campus event, which highlighted career opportunities at Goldman Sachs to students. Sneha commented, “The Women Emerging in Finance session became one of the key components of the Goldman Sachs brand on campus. Personally, I feel like the event further cemented the fact that women applicants stand an equal chance to build a long-standing career in finance.”
