Goldman Sachs Welcomes Diverse Students to Insight Day

On September 28 and 29, Goldman Sachs welcomed 274 talented sophomores and juniors from a wide variety of colleges and majors to the firm’s New York Headquarters for an Insight Day.

Insight Day is an opportunity for diverse students to get a comprehensive introduction to their divisions of interest at Goldman Sachs while developing their financial services acumen and interview skills through business overviews, case studies and networking opportunities.

“Goldman Sachs professionals from every division and every level of seniority participate in Insight Day making it a unique opportunity for students to fully experience our unique culture and the emphasis we place on diversity and inclusion," says Johann Shudlick, global head of Diversity Recruiting.

Dane Holmes, head of Investor Relations, welcomed the students and offered an insightful and personal perspective on his path from architecture major at Columbia to a career in investment banking. This was followed by an interactive case study led by Johann Shudlick and Trier Bryant, vice president for Americas Diversity Recruiting.

Following a morning of firmwide programming, the students broke out into divisional sessions to meet with professionals prior to internship interviews taking place the next day.

An Insight Day was also held in Salt Lake City on September 24 and another took place in Dallas on October 9.
